| TZ Update 2 Swe / Italy |
|
After a huge exceptionally long feeling break at home in Sweden, NOT (mm actually it was really short 5 days) we the family headed back to central Europe. The training in Sweden was ok, but most important, the weather was amazing calm clear..... and actually kind a cold. The last day we were home it turned cloudy, so i guess that was a sign for our little traveling band to switch countries. This next training camp is going to be fun, because I am going down with Liam on my two week holiday. Even though its not so far normally to travel from Scandinavia to central Europe our trip, due to connections ended up taking about 15hrs; 5 hr drive to Arlanda, 4 hr flight and another 2hr drive to Toblach with many transfer times in between. But all this considered Liam was Awesome!, never really slept but made it all the way and we had a good time considering the travel.
The training started really hard, usual Wolfgang style! But luckily it rained really hard as well...............huh :( So this made it extra fun. The girls did a lot of uphill work rollerskiing and not easy intensity either.
Liam and I started off a little differently, we watched and cheered mom on aaaand went to the spa / swimming instead! Much better when its raining.
Finally today when Anna Carin and the girls rollerskied up to Platswiese (2004m ) from our hotel at 1200m, we were able to follow on bike and Chariot. What a nice day, and wow, how much uphill, uhgg, Liam is getting heavy. Luckily 400m elev from the top AC was coming down so Liam got a ride back and i continued over the top. The 6 lane range is now finished in Toblach (500m from our hotel) so the swedish women and Ole-Einar B will be the first to shoot on it. The shooting competitions and the hard combo now begins. And for Liam and I more exploring of the Dolomites........oooh how could i forget, the Santer family have been sooo awesome, totally great food, acomodations and they bend over backwards to help you out with anything one needs. I would say its the place for a Dolomite Holiday........mmmm or hard training camp, he hee! |
